Today I spent half the money we set aside to remodel the kitchen!!! Want to see a picture??
What?? That isn't isn't your dream kitchen either?? Home ownership bites sometimes...more often when your house is 100+ years old. So instead of the beautiful kitchen of my dreams, I got a brand new 55 foot water line....complete with new shut off valve, pressure regulator, and 50 year warranty. Somehow that isn't helping. Maybe the 1/2 eaten package of Oreos will do the trick. (the other half didn't help)

Oh, that sucks Nicole! AT least now you know - the pipe is done and you will never have to worry about that again. I am always worried about having to replace the main line when we've lived in older homes.
What do you have planned for your kitchen? We built our entire kitchen for around 10k, and that included appliances. You can get a great kitchen without spending tons of money.
That's no fun. Not a happy post. But it still made me happy to see a new one! Hope the water line works forever and ever.
Oh no! Very cool house though.
What a cute house! We bought an older house too (not as old as yours) and are finding we are spending a lot of money fixing things too..... some we planned and some we sure didn't.
